Full Moon in Taurus - November 5, 2025
Gratitude for all that sustains us
The Full Moon is on Wednesday, Nov. 5 at 7:19 am CST in 13° Taurus.
It is a time to be grateful for all the things that sustain us on this earth plane: the ground we walk on, the soil from which plant life grows, the whole cycles of life that occur underground, root systems and animal habitats
Because Taurus represents not just the element of earth but also the quality of fixedness or unchangingness, it is important to contemplate what about life on earth holds us in place, unable to evolve. What can we visualize to promote change, to move forward in a harmonious way? Often we think of a mountain as something unchanging. Today I was in my meditation room and I was began contemplating the large rock that sits under my altar.
This rock was blasted out of Crazy Horse Mountain sometime around 1991 when we visited there on a cross-country family vacation. We picked it out of a whole crate of rocks at the gift shop (glad we had our station wagon). This enormous project is inspiring in so many ways. Slowly and carefully, the whole mountain is being transformed into a sculpture of a Native American leader and hero. So today I was thinking about how we often think the path of our lives is “set in stone”. But slowly and carefully, one conscious and wise action at a time, we can carve out a different way of thinking and living.
Mercury and Jupiter Retrogrades
November 9 Mercury goes retrograde at 6° Sagittarius - be careful and cautious in communication. In Sagittarius, Mercury can have us saying things spontaneously that get us into trouble.
November 11, Jupiter goes retrograde at 25° Cancer. Watch out for carelessness with money and being overoptimistic about time and money.
Jupiter’s generosity of spirit can go awry with Mercury retrograde as we make promises we cannot fulfill (or alternatively, other people may make promises to us that likely won’t be fulfilled).
More on these and other aspects are in this video of a talk I gave on November planetary positions for my Friday morning class “Astrology, Kriya Yoga, and the Path of the Mystic”.
Ray Grasse: Astrology and the Theory of Correspondences
Ray Grasse, a student of Goswami Kriyananda and Shelly Trimmer, has written many books and articles about symbology. Here is one on Astrology and the Theory of Correspondences.
Ray says, “Seen through an astrological lens, the cosmos thus begins to look less like a dead machine and more like a vast dream, one that expresses itself in the language of symbolism, analogy, and correspondences rather than frozen, discrete “facts.””
